Meet Laura
& Why she created this course
Dr. Laura Rubin is a Pelvic Floor PT, who strongly believes in empowering women through perinatal and postpartum education. Laura was first pregnant while in graduate school, and found that there was a significant lack of education provided to pregnant women. Following her doctoral program in physical therapy, she decided to specialize in pelvic floor therapy, treating women from pregnancy to postpartum periods, as well as helping women struggling with sexual, urinary, and bowel dysfunction. She often found herself asked to recommend a labor and delivery class that she feels properly prepares women for labor in a practical yet evidence based manner, so... she made it! Here you go!
Laura knows firsthand how important this information is, as she recently had her second child. She found that using her knowledge of the pelvic floor and orthopedic conditions within her own pregnancy and delivery made all of the difference for a smooth pregnancy and delivery. She looks forward to sharing all of this knowledge with you!
I highly recommend taking Laura’s class! It was super informative and helpful. Very clear and comprehensive. And lots of practical tips were given. I really appreciate that she covered postpartum care as well! I feel so much more confident going into labor having taken her class!!!
It was great!!! I learned a lot and it was helpful.
The most helpful thing I learned was not only what questions to ask my doctor before my birth, but how to advocate for myself during birth!
“Labor with Laura” truly helped my husband and I enter birth feeling confident and prepared. Laura is extremely educated and eloquent and really created an environment where we felt comfortable to ask any question and felt completely supported from birth through delivery! I recommend this course to all of my friends who are expecting!!
